Scope of Work: Installation of structural stiffening beams
Description: Stiffening beams needed to be installed beneath the existing deck in a production area to support new process skid without shutting-in production equipment. A PWE was installed on a suspended scaffold approximately 8’ below the deck. There was limited access and multiple penetration points that created challenges for the installation due to obstructions (beams, cable tray) that needed to be coped around to retain positive pressure and eliminate leaks. The project was successfully completed without incident and the facility was able to maintain production during the execution of the hot work.
