SAFETY TECHNICIANS

With the extremely educated and experienced safety technicians on staff, we strive to assist in the delivery of zero harm. Our safety technicians are trained to develop a professional working relationship with the designated person in charge and maintain communications with them in order to build a successful partnership that meets and exceeds the expectations and requirements of the client. By providing oversight utilizing company specific safe work practices and processes, the safety technician will play a major role in limiting exposure to potential incidents.

Our safety technicians have working knowledge of OSHA 1910 and 1926 regulations, as well as applicable USCG and BOEM regulations. In addition, qualification in the following will be a condition of employment as a safety technician on facilities/projects:

Confined Space entry, competent person level trained
Hazard communication (right to know)
Welding, cutting, and brazing
Respiratory protection, user level
Hearing protection, OSHA occupational noise exposure standard
Personal protective equipment requirements
Permit to work systems
Job safety analysis, user level
Behavioral based safety, user level

Energy isolation (lockout/tagout), authorized person level
Fall protection, competent person level
Scaffolding, basic level
Water survival
Hazard identification, intermediate level
Root cause analysis / accident investigation
Rigger training, API RP2D
First aid/CPR/AED/BBP

SafeZone Safety Technicians will be able to assist in the execution of safe work practices, and will ensure that all company policies and procedures are being routinely complied with as part of daily activities. Our safety technicians are prepared to assist with, but not limited to the following daily activities:   JSA’s, Safety meetings, Company orientations, short service employees, hot work, pre-work checklist, simultaneous operations, behavioral based safety, qualifications of job site personnel, fall protection, crane use, chemicals, incident response, lockout/tagout, stop work authority, spill prevention, emergency medical services, and emergency response.
